SYED NADEEM ROSHAN SHAH

Nadeem Shah is a seasoned humanitarian and rural development practitioner with over 17 years of experience in project planning, coordination, and implementation across disaster-affected regions in Sindh, Pakistan. Since 2008, he has specialized in areas including Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Cash Transfer Programming, Food Security, Social Mobilization, and Community-Based Development.

Nadeem has worked with both national and international organizations, leading multi-sectoral humanitarian and development interventions. His responsibilities have included supervising field operations, ensuring donor compliance, coordinating with local stakeholders and government officials, and monitoring the implementation of diverse project components such as income-generating grants and physical infrastructure development at the village level.

In addition to his humanitarian work, Nadeem has hands-on experience in entrepreneurship across various value chains, including livestock, agriculture, and small-scale rural enterprises. His work has supported the development of local markets, value chain strengthening, and community-based income generation, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment in marginalized areas.

He has played a key role in major humanitarian responses, including drought and flood relief in Tharparkar and other vulnerable regions. Notable projects under his management include integrated humanitarian aid supported by WHH, CBDRM Tahafuz, and maternal and child health programs. In these roles, Nadeem has demonstrated excellence in stakeholder coordination, team management, and community engagement while maintaining strong oversight of program quality, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms.

His core strengths lie in project supervision, team leadership, compliance with contractual terms, field-level coordination, gender-inclusive programming, and ensuring timely and effective service delivery to affected communities. Nadeem also holds a Master’s degree in Arts with a focus on Rural Sociology and has received first aid and emergency response training.
