Ms.Mahajabeen Channa is a Food Security, Livelihood and Gender Expert. As a Gender Focal Point at Sukaar Foundation, she plays a pivotal role in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment within the organization and across its projects. With a strong commitment to advocating for women’s rights, Ms.Mahajabeen Channa has dedicated her career to addressing gender-based challenges in development and humanitarian programs/projects.
Mahajabeen Channa expertise lies in gender mainstreaming, ensuring that gender perspectives are effectively integrated into all aspects of program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Her role involves close collaboration with various teams to design and implement strategies that promote gender equity, safeguard women’s rights, and address the specific needs of women and girls in vulnerable communities.
A proactive food security, livelihood and gender expert, Mahajabeen Channa has successfully led initiatives that enhance the participation of women in humanitarian and community development projects, food security and livelihood projects, promote their economic empowerment, and raise awareness about gender-based violence.
